Appointed member of the Danish Research Council – Forskningsrådet for Sundhed og Sygdom (FSS) for a 6 year period from 2013-2019. Member of the FSS executive committee from 2017-2018. From 2018-2022 appointed member of the Scientific Advisory Board (KBVU) for the Danish Cancer Society (Kræftens Bekæmpelse) and other private foundations.
